it didn't this year... o.O
that was one of the better thought out posts I've ever seen on N4G.
The PS3 has to outsell the 360 by 2.5 million units per year to overcome the 360 in the next 3 years.
For the past 2, it has been selling on par, and just recently trended worse globally. I find it very hard to believe that M$ would 1. not announce or release a console in the next 3 years and 2. not respond in any way to any action taken by sony to increase sales.
People give you gold and help you when you play as a female character. Just try it, I guarantee you you level twice as fast.
this was the plan since it was announced for the 360. Finish the PS3 japanese version, then while they were localizing they'd port to the 360 with little delay from either version to the west.
It's just like WKC. It's already out in japan, and doesn't even have a US/EU release date just because of localization.
I'd rather wait for games to be announced for this year than wait 3 years for games announced years before launch...
hypocrite.
30 minute monologues that the author uses to spout on about things he's emopants are.
EA definitely isn't where they want to be, but I imagine they'll be rehiring once they hit their stride again.
I think EA was bound for restructuring regardless. Their company got kind of bloated with shovelware developers. I think they've started to realize that, and are moving towards hiring more talent instead of just more people.
it was more of an all or nothing type deal. If the deal went through, EA probably would have been sitting pretty. Since it fell through, it ended up hurting them.
360 is up though?
have it too. This one's already approved, so just use this one.
People really overestimate exclusives. Unless a system has a significant amount of exclusives over competition price is going to be a much bigger decider.
That's even more true when the 3rd party lineup is good enough to satisfy the casual gamer without even purchasing an exclusive all year.
da bad jurnalizm man made fun of my PStreez.
QQ more. It happens to every system. Last summer the 360 caught it just as bad. Some sites absolutely brutalize the wii.
It just so happens that right now the PS3 is selling poorly, with no signs of it selling much better compared to the other systems till at least next month. The only thing people like to hear about more than a giant is a falling giant.
it was really whooping a$$... outselling 360 by so much that the 360 made up the whole difference in a single month...
sounds like it was really kicking a$$.
yea... and there has been 3d gaming running on Windows since the release of asheron's call 2 in 2002.
I still don't see how that's "winning big" with all 0 games that actually use the tech. Sounds like an awesome advancement!
pricepoint responsive is different. Microsoft is in the commanding spot for pricepoint. Its sales aren't especially threatened by the PS3's, and the 360 is being sold with higher profit per console than PS3s.
It's not about who responds, it's about who has the most options. Consider it like chess. Someone might be on the offensive, but the game is ultimately about board control, and whoever controls the board controls the game.
Microsoft might not be on the offensive...
and killzone 2 was supposed to be a launch title... and a 2007 title... and a 2008 title...
it sold a lot less nov/dec... o.O
"The outrage is anything that is said about the 360's faults are true.
The PS3 gets bashed about all kinds of things, but it is all FUD except the price point. Everyone including Sony knows the price needs to come down."
yea... that's why M$ was in a GTA panic when that launched, and why the 360 was going to die and M$ would drop out of the video game market in 2008, and the 360 had no games in 08, and every single 360 gets RROD, despite the failure rate be...
an intelligent summary is more similar. The did very little to rebut the claims made by the other articles.
it looks uncomfortably real.
The trees and leaves are nearly photorealistic, but when you see the ground textures (clearly not real) or characters (also clearly not real) it makes you uncomfortable, as if something is amiss.
I would say environments goes hands down to crysis still. I've never seen a game that looked so a$$blastingly realistic when compared with an actual tropical forest. The most amazing part is the way its environment reacts to characters and the pl...
